by the Zurich lake - full of swimmers and sunbathers due to the well
above average temperatures. Tempted to join the swimmers; however,
Lucerne was the destination today.
- The
southwestern route from Zurich to Lucerne is less than an hour and
follows a series of lakes with an armada of sailboats under the blue
sky. An info office in the arriving train station has excellent
walking map guides - leading from station, to the wooden Chapel
pedestrian bridge, followed by the 1700s Swiss Guard carved lion
memorial, tower walls, and inner city
- Finished the day with quick tram relay tour of Zurich inner city.
