Tropical Storm Alma turned into Albert by
crossing from the Pacific to the Caribbean. A record was
-
set since the actual Hurricane had not begun. Time to bid farewell to
Tancah Bay and the villa. Between
-
the light rain storms, the Jeep was loaded with luggage and off to Cancun.

After auto stops set up by the Military and Federales during the past week,
it was now turn for the local
-
police. Most of the highway speed limits were 100 or 90 KPH.
(60-55 MPH). One stretch of road managed
-
to set up 80 KPH and local officers had their trusty radar gun.
Interesting approach - stand in the middle of
-
the road with the radar and flag a vehicle to the side. Seems an
unfocused driver would gain a hood ornament
-
with this approach. Anyhow, our trusty back seat driver used Spanish
and long looks to allow us to continue
-
without a ticket (potential $14 USD).

Time from Tulum to Cancun was about 2 hours (without Police stops) and
overcast skies was choice for a
-
movie evening. Selected movie was the new Indiana Jones sequel number
4. Seemed apropos after visiting
-
the Yucatan ruins.

Cancun is "Orlando International Drive" meets Las Vegas. Mid
to Large scale resorts with upper scale shopping
-
centers. A stadium seating movie theatre was only $5.00; however, the
short $10 taxi ride consumed any savings.

-
After the movie, time to watch the sunset from the Regency Club level on the
14th floor, enjoy the dinner
-
snacks, and enjoy the movie on the large wall screen.
