New Zealand 2007 
 
                                    Day Ten Te Ananu March 23
                                               
                                            Mid morning flight from Auckland south to Queenstown.  The airport was fairly
                                            new and had a Colorado resort feel as to design.  After picking up the Toyota Previa
                                            rental van, we proceeded 2 hours West to Te Ananu.
 
                                            Enjoyed a nice Italian dinner in the picturesque town - roses and flowerbeds line
                                            the sidewalk across from the large lake.  The Te Ananu lake was one of many sites
                                            used for Lord of the Rings movie.  ( Departing boat scene from Rivendell).
 
                                            Time to unpack the suitcases and prepare the backpacks for tomorrow's Milford
                                            Track start.
